How to Buy Sea of Thieves Ships

You will be prompted to buy your first ship shortly after starting Sea of Thieves. You can then buy additional vessels from the My Ships section of the main menu after some progress through the game.

When buying a ship in Sea of Thieves, you’ll have three options to choose from, each having its own pros and cons. These options would be the Sloop, the Brigantine, and the Galleon. You can only have one of each at the start of the game, but getting certain achievements will do away with this restriction.

The Sloop, being the smallest of the three, will cost you 250,000 Gold while the largest among these options, the Galleon, costs 500,000 Gold. As a medium-sized ship, the Brigantine’s price sits right in between these two at 375,000 Gold.

Aside from their notable differences in size, these ships will also vary in terms of mobility and firepower. And of course, if you have a larger ship, you’re going to need a bigger crew to man it.

And that wraps up our guide on how to buy ships in Sea of Thieves. Now that you’ve got yourself a brand new vessel, you may want to learn how to customize ships in Sea of Thieves or use it to fast travel in the action-adventure game.
